Cozart Reservoir is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, White Star Campground is a pleasant local campground, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Cooper is relatively near. Clear Creek is a glorious whitewater spot in close proximity to Cozart Reservoir, and perhaps you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Lily Pond is just a very short distance away. It is       very dehydrated here at Cozart Reservoir frequently; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Through the long summer days at Cozart Reservoir highs are regularly in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Cozart Reservoir. You're probably keen on lakes, Mount Elbert Forebay is one of those close by,                  and tremendous water scenery is available at Cozart Dam near Cozart Reservoir. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Sawatch Range. On a great day at Cozart Reservoir you can take a hike along the Mount Elbert Trail, and a splendid nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Leadville. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is tremendous here at Cozart Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Main Range Trail, and the Mount Massive Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Bartlett Gulch is a wonderful site to stop by right next door to Cozart Reservoir, and Delaware Hotel is a tremendous location to get some rest. All year is a perfect time in the Sawatch Range if you love the outdoors. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Arkansas River. There's so much to do here at Cozart Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Lake View Campground is a wonderful site for that.
