An out of the ordinary thing to stop at next to Coyote Reservoir is Coyote Dam, and a lake close by is Craig Holding and Evaporation Reservoir. Coyote Reservoir gets very little rainfall; October is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Coyote Reservoir, you could also check out close by Craig Raw Water Reservoir; if you came for an overnight stay Craig Kampground is a fine location
