This place is peerless, just explore all the entertaining things to do in the vicinity of Cox Lakes. Going for a hike on the La Manga Stock Driveway is always a good adventure, and camping at Trujillo Meadows Campground is always a wonderful experience. You completely must go for the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Go for a hike on the Red Lake Trail; a great nearby hotel is Best Western       Jicarilla Inn & Casino. At Cox Lakes all through the summertime months highs are in the 60's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Cox Lakes. If you need a place to stay Branding Iron Motel is a wonderful choice, and a stunning lake like Lower Lake is a brilliant location to take a look at. There's whitewater on Conejos River for all you thrill                  seekers, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop at Middle Lake. Man, is there heaps of cool stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There are pleasant spots to explore along the Elk Creek Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Cox Lakes a wet site; during the month of March you get the most snow around here; June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
