While you're here at Cow Lake you can take a hike along the Last Chance Trail; a beautiful lake like Sixmile Lake is a pleasant site to explore. This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the summertime months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Cow Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Cow Lake are in the 0's. A delightful close by hotel is Quality

Jet Lake
 | 3 PHOTOS Jet lake is also located in the Flat Tops wilderness area so no vehicles allowed but is only about a 15 to 20 minute hike to the lake (an easy pretty flat hike) then about another 15 minute hike into shadow lake , about 15 mor into blair lake and about 15 more into crater lake. Elk lakes are located about 5 minutes from the wilderness area only 1/2 mile to the parking for jet lakes.... some colorado wild flowers... |

Adams Lake
 | 1 PHOTO located at the foot of Blair Mountain Adams Lake is well worth the trip. Definatly a 4 wheel drive Jeep Trail but only a few miles from Elk lakes, Jet lake, Shadow Lake, Blair lakes , Crater Lake, Deep lake and bison lake. Lots of Cut throat trout, rainbows and browns. Most deffinatly more than a one day trip. Always plan for all kinds of weather, and definitely tent camping only.... |
