If you are traveling by, why not stop by Cove Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on White River - South Fork; there's perfect hiking along the Oyster Lake Trail. Cove Reservoir is ordinarily a pretty dried up spot; the month with most of the rain is October while January is generally the driest month. Camping at Indian Run Campground is always a nice experience, naturally you could also have a look at Cove Lake Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all. Through the warm months at Cove Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 80's with night lows in the 40's. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave
Cove Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Sleepy Cat Trail, and Iles Mountain can be made out from Cove Reservoir. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Deer Park Inn & Suites is a delightful choice, and Cove Dam is not far at all from Cove Reservoir.
