Do stop by Coulson Lake while you're in this part of Colorado. South Platte River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and The Cliff House Hotel at Pikes Peak is a splendid place to get some rest. While you're here at Coulson Lake you can take a hike along the Phantom Creek Trail, and you could always explore Orchette Gulch. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is splendid on South Platte River.

| | here in the Front Range. Not much rainfall falls here at Coulson Lake; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Just can't get enough of the Front Range. Going for a hike along the Rule Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and you can stay the night at Alpine Lakes Resort.

You can take a little trip to H H Moore Divide Dam since you're here at Coulson Lake, and if you need a place to stay Country Lodge is a great choice. All the outdoors exciting things near Coulson Lake will keep you coming back time
and again. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Rule Ridge Trail; since you're here and you like golf, you can go to Shining Mountain Golf Club. At Coulson Lake throughout the warm months highs are in the 80's while nighttime
lows are ordinarily in the 40's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 40's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Coulson Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. The sights at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument will
blow your mind. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Coulson Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mueller.
