Do stop by Cottonwood Reservoir while you're in this part of Colorado. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites; nice hiking is available along the Dallas Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Centennial RV Park is a magnificent campground here, and the vista of gorgeous Log Hill Mesa is great. Be careful coming to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Hiking is a popular thing to do around

It is very arid here at Cottonwood Reservoir ordinarily; October is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. Camping at Cottonwood Reservoir is tremendous fun, Country Village RV Ranch Park is a tremendous local campground, and don't leave Cottonwood Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Spring Creek Trail. Through the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 90's at Cottonwood Reservoir. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Cottonwood Reservoir dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.
