     This lake is so wonderful. Log Hill Mesa is lovely and can be seen from Cottonwood Reservoir, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Uncompahgre River. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Cottonwood Reservoir rules!. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Centennial RV Park is a tremendous local campground, and Government Springs is a picturesque place to visit while you're at  
   Cottonwood Reservoir.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Natural Pond, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MONTROSE-TOWNSEND is a good place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, San Miguel River offers some great whitewater, and close by you stumble on the Spring Creek Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail.                Fairway Pines Golf Club is a great way to kill some time, and naturally, this is a pleasant neighborhood for people who like lakes, Hofmann Reservoir is a lake nearby.
Cottonwood Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Around Cottonwood Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; through October this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting stuff just keep reading. Going for a hike on the Dallas Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and Quality Inn & Suites is a delightful site to get some rest.
Here at Cottonwood Reservoir you'll most likely meet some people from Montrose, and hey, Gotta ski right? Telluride is a glorious place to do that. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Go for a hike on the Alder Creek Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Country Village RV Ranch Park is a good place to camp. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Cottonwood Reservoir; the nighttime is slightly colder of course, mostly in the 50's.
