Do visit Spencer Lake close to Cottonwood Pond, it's a gorgeous lake, and pleasant hiking is available along the Ray Trail. For the duration of the warm months here at Cottonwood Pond, high temperatures usually get into the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. into some good folks from Montrose here. Cottonwood Pond is generally a relatively dry place; most of the rain falls through October while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking
is a popular thing to do around Cottonwood Pond; Telephone Draw Trail is a great local trail, and a scenic lake like Custer Reservoir is a great place to stop by.
