Do stop by Bench Lake in close proximity to Cottonwood Lake, it's a pretty lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Rainbow Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A nice location to camp here at Cottonwood Lake is North Crestone Campground; Cottonwood Lake is right by the Marble Mountain Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Cottonwood Lake, and during       the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Cottonwood Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Yeah, come up here to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains for a great time. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Cottonwood Lake.
