Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. If the weather is good here at Cooper Lake, you can go for a hike along the Ridge Stock Driveway, and a perfect place to camp here at Cooper Lake is Lake City Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Lee Smelter Gulch is a good spot to go if you're at Cooper Lake, and you can run the rapids of Lake Fork Gunnison River. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Life's

You could also stop at Cataract Lake while you're here at Cooper Lake; it's close by; camping at Mill Creek Campground is always a fine experience. All year is a tremendous time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains if you adore the outdoors. to Cooper Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Cooper Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. There is a
delightful hiking trail in close proximity to Cooper Lake called the West Fork Trail, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Ouray is a good location to spend a night or two. A lake nearby is Sloan Lake, and there's whitewater
on Henson Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. On a brilliant day at Cooper Lake you can take a hike along the Big Blue Trail. Cooper Lake gets very little rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most
rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, North Fork Henson Creek is a stream you can take a look at while you're here; you can hit the slopes at Kendall Mountain close by.
