No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Cooney Lake. Cooney Lake is right by the Wheeler Trail, and you'll find a beautiful lake called Oliver Twist Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Arkansas River in a kayak, and nice skiing awaits you at Breckenridge. Through the warmest       time of the year at Cooney Lake highs are mostly in the 60's, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. All through the winter the highs are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Cooney Lake are in the 0's. The Limber Grove Trail offers hiking at its best; you can stay the night at Four Mile Campground. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Cooney Lake. Kite Lake Campground is a pleasant campground nearby;                  dry warm beds await you at Delaware Hotel. Cooney Lake is a location that is pretty arid regularly; July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is October. After a long day outdoors Silver King Inn is a nice spot to spend a night or two, and get wet paddling on Arkansas River. This lake is so wonderful. Mosquito Pass is a perfect site to go to close to Cooney Lake, and a pleasant visit to American Flats is a fine way to spend an afternoon.
