If you come at the right time of year, Kannah Creek offers some tremendous whitewater, and Coon Creek Reservoir Number 1 is good enough to spend more than a day at, Glacier Spring Campground is a good local campground. Coon Creek Reservoir Number 1 is pretty dry generally; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain; January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Goldenwoods  
   Condo Assn. is a great spot to get some rest, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cottonwood Lakes Foot Trail.
Very nice water scenery is available at Long Slough Dam near Coon Creek Reservoir Number 1. Through the months of summer at Coon Creek Reservoir Number 1 temperatures are frequently in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's while Coon Creek Reservoir Number 1
 
               overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. Very beautiful scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Powderhorn; there's great hiking along the High Trail.

If you need a place to stay Spruce Lodge Resort is a pleasant choice, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Coon Creek Reservoir Number 1; Godding Eisberry Grade is a good local trail.
