     A lake close by is Gurley Reservoir, and get yourself into a kayak and hit San Miguel River. The warmest time of the year at Cone Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Cone Reservoir. If you need a spot to stay Fairmont Franz Klammer Lodge is a magnificent choice, and don't leave Cone Reservoir without first going  
   for a hike along the Horsefly Trail.
If you get bored of Cone Reservoir, you could also have a look at close by Lone Cone Reservoir, and why not camp at Miramonte Reservoir Campground while you're here at Cone Reservoir. The top of Little Baldy is easily spotted from Cone Reservoir, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on San Miguel River. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular location for people from Montrose, and if you came for an overnight
 
               stay Burro Bridge Campground is a fine site to camp.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cone Reservoir; Ground Hog Stock Driveway is a great local trail; don’t forget to take a look at Goshorn Flats if you're here at Cone Reservoir. And that's not all you can do here at Cone Reservoir. Very fine water scenery is available at Lone Cone Dam in the vicinity of Cone Reservoir, and wonderful hiking is available along the Fish Creek Trail. Cone Reservoir is pretty arid mostly; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest.
