The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful. That right there is plenty of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has it all. Stay the night at Blanca RV Park, and Great Sand Dunes National Monument is a brilliant local destination. Summertime highs at Lake Como commonly tend to be in the 80's, and the overnight is fairly chillier of course, usually in the 50's. The wintertime brings       highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Lake Como tend to be in the 0's. Great Sand Dunes Oasis is a good campground here; if you need a location to stay Inn of the Rio Grande Hotel and Conference Ctr is a perfect choice. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. At Lake Como you don’t see much precipitation; through August this area sees the most rain, and January                  on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ute Trail, and a visit to Blanca Basin revitalizes the soul. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Lake Como, too great to be true. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Blue Lakes, and do take a hike on the Strawberry Trail.
