This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Como is a great place to visit for more than one day, Great Sand Dunes Oasis is a great place to camp nearby, and if you need a spot to stay Alamosa-Days Inn is a nice choice. Just can't get enough of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A pleasant tour to Blanca Basin is a good way to spend an afternoon, and do pay a visit to Great       Sand Dunes National Monument while you're here at Lake Como. And if that's not enough there's a load more amusing things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Huerfano Trail. You could also pop by Blue Lakes if you're here at Lake Como; it's close by, and Lake Como is right by the Ute Trail. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. A lake nearby is Little Bear Lake, and do take a hike on the                  Strawberry Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake Como has to offer, you can camp at Blanca RV Park; the top of Blanca Peak is easily seen from Lake Como. Through the summer at Lake Como temperatures are mostly in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Lake Como dip into the 0's.
