Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! Columbine Lake is excellent! Columbine Lake is right by the Greyhound Pack Trail, and after a long day outdoors Camel's Garden is a great spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Do visit Lewis Lake next to Columbine Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and The Ice House Lodge is a fine spot to get some rest. Columbine       Lake gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is June. You'll find a striking lake called Lewis Lake near Columbine Lake; there's whitewater on Lime Creek for all you thrill seekers. Ophir Pass is close to Columbine Lake and is beyond doubt a tremendous location to explore, and Bridal Veil Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. There are some                  splendid whitewater spots on Mineral Creek - South, and the slopes of Silverton are so inviting nobody can resist. Hiking along the Highline Trail is delightful fun, and why not camp at South Mineral Campground since you're here at Columbine Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Molas Lake Park is a tremendous local campground, and everyone close by loves skiing at Telluride. All the outdoors cool things in close proximity to Columbine Lake will keep you coming back many times. If the weather is delightful, you acquire a magnificent panorama of Lookout Peak from Columbine Lake, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Telluride Ski & Golf Club. Throughout the summertime here at Columbine Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's.
