Get drenched paddling on Vallecito Creek, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Columbine Lake; Brooklyn Trail is a splendid local trail. During the warm months, highs generally are in the 70's at Columbine Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Throughout the       wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Columbine Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
