Colorado has many beautiful lakes and Columbine Lake is one of them. Columbine Lake is pretty dried out usually; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while January is ordinarily the driest month. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Columbine Lake has to offer, you can camp at Harbison Campground, and nearby you come across the Green Mountain Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. | | has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you need a spot to stay Gateway Inn Restaurant Cnf Ctr is a nice choice.
There is a glorious hiking trail in the vicinity of Columbine Lake called the Shadow Mountain Trail. Don't forget to take a great little tour to Little Columbine Creek; the skiing at SolVista is fine. Near Columbine Lake you find a golf course called Grand Lake Golf Course; Surprise Beach is a beach nearby that you can take a look at.

This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Willow Creek is so much fun, and you could always look at Kawuneeche Valley. The warmest time of the year at Columbine Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight
hours it's generally in the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Columbine Lake. On a perfect day at Columbine Lake you can take a hike along the Outlet Trail; Berthoud
Pass is a great local ski area.
All the outdoors cool things close to Columbine Lake will keep you coming back many times. Columbine Lake is a glorious site to camp, Elk Creek Campground and RV Park is a glorious site; dry warm beds await you at Bighorn Lodge.
