Don't leave Columbia Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Limber Grove Trail. There's so much to do here at Columbia Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Creek Campground is a perfect place for that. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tenmile Creek, and Columbia Reservoir is nice enough to spend more       than a day at, Kite Lake Campground is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Really great skiing awaits you at Breckenridge; possibly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Montgomery Reservoir is just a very short distance away. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Dolly Varden Gulch is a great spot to stop at close by, and there's splendid hiking along the Burro Trail. After a long day outdoors The Corral by ResortQuest is a                  great place to spend a night or two, and a delightful place for whitewater paddling is Arkansas River. It's a good idea to have a look at Buckskin Creek, it's near Columbia Reservoir, and High Park is a magnificent spot here at Columbia Reservoir. Around Columbia Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month of the year is February. Man, is there a heap of fun things to do near Columbia Reservoir. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 70's at Columbia Reservoir. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Columbia Reservoir tend to be in the-10's. Go for a hike on the Wheeler Trail, and you can never get enough of the nice skiing at Crested Butte.
