     If you came for an overnight stay Cozy Comfort RV Park and Mountain Retreat is a glorious place to camp, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Stoner Stock Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and camping is available at Dolores River RV Park. Lakes are brilliant; Colt Number Two Reservoir is a lake that's near Colt Number  
   Four Reservoir; if you have time, Mesa Verde National Park is a national park worth a visit.
At Colt Number Four Reservoir you don’t see much rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly October, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is June. So many exciting things to do at Colt Number Four Reservoir, so little time. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Dolores River; a wonderful close by hotel is Days Inn Cortez. At Colt
 
               Number Four Reservoir during the summertime highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Colt Number Four Reservoir temperatures plunge to the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. It's always wonderful to stop at Italian Spring, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Colt Number Five Reservoir. If you need a site to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a pleasant choice; since you're here you can take a hike along the McPhee Stock Trail.

Puett Reservoir
A.M. Puett Reservoir was originally constructed in 1905, and then reconstructed in 1960. It contains 163 surface acres when full and is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife and open for public fishing from the bank and from trolling motor powered boats. No swimming is allowed. The lake is on private land and access is limited to 3 feet above the high water line....

Summit Reservoir
Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed....

We stayed in this campground mid-July 2006. Very efficient, friendly park. Adequate power, water, and sewage hookups. Rates were reasonable; and the manager did indicate that longer stays were discounted. Nice fenced dog run for our puppies to enjoy. The microbrewery in town has a wide selection of locally made beverages. I would gladly stop at La Mesa RV Park again....
