This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. If you're going to College Lake from Fort Collins-Loveland, you won't be the only one; Cache La Poudre River is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Jug Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Hilton Fort Collins. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to College Lake. The Front Range is so good! Heron Lake RV Park is a brilliant campground nearby, and the scenery at Soldier Canyon Dam is picturesque. are good to go to close by. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cache La Poudre River; you can stay the night at Camp Dick - Arapaho National Forest. This place, College Lake, it absolutely
has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Dixon Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out, and if you need a place to stay The Armstrong Hotel is a splendid choice. Not much precipitation falls here at College Lake; July is when
you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is December. But wait, there's more to do near College Lake. Not far from College Lake you find Eltuck Bay. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Wintersteen
Trail, and some of the water close by flows, like Mill Creek. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Front Range. A fine place near College Lake is Arthurs Rock Gulch, and since you're here, you could also go to striking Soldier Canyon Reservoir.
