You can catch a sight of Leon Peak       from Cole Reservoir Number 1, and the East Leon Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Cole Reservoir Number 1, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Cole Reservoir Number 1 night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Grand Mesa National Forest is a forest close to Cole Reservoir Number 1 that you can go to, and close                  by you find the Monument Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail.
