What a nice lake Cold Reservoir is. At Cold Reservoir you don’t see much rain; July is when you get the most rain here, and June is the month with the least moisture. If you came to camp Cayton Campground is a tremendous site to do that, and you're probably keen on lakes, Tom Akin Reservoir is one of those nearby. Put some time aside to spend at Dunton Hot Spring since you're here at Cold Reservoir; Telluride is a pleasant local ski area. Near Cold Reservoir

| | you find the Ground Hog Stock Driveway which is a magnificent hiking trail. Lakes are great; Divide Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Cold Reservoir. Throughout the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Cold Reservoir. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Cold Reservoir temperatures sink to the 0's. This | |

for that, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Miguel River. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Winter Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and getting to Cold Creek from Cold Reservoir is easy.
