In Colorado there are many beautiful lakes, Lake of the Clouds is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Not much rain falls here at Lake of the Clouds; the month with most of the rain is May, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Joe Wright Creek is a great whitewater spot next to Lake of the Clouds, and if you came to camp Craig Campground is a nice place to do that.

| | amusing stuff. A great location for whitewater paddling right next door to Lake of the Clouds is Cache La Poudre River; from Lake of the Clouds you obtain a pleasant vista of Mount Cirrus. Do visit Pinnacle Pool close to Lake of the Clouds, it's a scenic lake, and Western Riviera Motel is a great place to get some rest. The peaks of the Never Summer Mountains dominate the scenery of this vicinity, and the Thunder Pass Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby.

After a long day outdoors Columbine Cabin is a great place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Lake of the Clouds that you need to camp here for a while, Timber Creek Campground is a splendid location for that.
There is a nice hiking trail next to Lake of the Clouds called the Red Mountain Trail; going for a hike on the Baker Trail is always a delightful adventure. For the duration of the summertime months here at Lake of the Clouds, high
temperatures regularly reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 30's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lake of the Clouds.
