Lake of the Clouds is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Thunder Pass Trail, and lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Lake Agnes. A magnificent close by hotel is Inn At Grand Lake, The, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cache La Poudre River. Not much rain falls here at Lake of the Clouds; May is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest.

You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake of the Clouds has to offer, you can camp at Timber Creek Campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake of the Clouds; Red Mountain Trail is a great local trail, and Snow Lake is a brilliant lake close by. the 70's with overnight lows in the 30's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Lake of the Clouds descend into the 0's.
The Never Summer Mountains
is one of the things that make Lake of the Clouds so wonderful; if the weather is wonderful, you get a fine vista of Mount Cirrus from Lake of the Clouds. This lake is so wonderful. There are some nice whitewater spots on Joe Wright
Creek. If you need a site to stay Gateway Inn Restaurant Cnf Ctr is a magnificent choice. There's so much to do here at Lake of the Clouds that you need to camp here for a while, Craig Campground is a nice location for that.
