Clinton Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out, and delightful hiking is available along the Wheeler Trail. Lakes? Sure, Mayflower Trailings Pond is around here, and a day on the slopes of Breckenridge is just what you need. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Go for a hike on the Miners Creek Trail. This       lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Black Lakes Campground is a magnificent spot to do that, and you obtain a good sight of Carbonate Hill from here. Kokomo Gulch is a great place to go to close to Clinton Gulch Dam Reservoir; after a long day outdoors Copper Mountain Resort is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There are great sites to explore along the Wheeler Trail, and Carbonate Copper Mountain is a perfect spot to get                  some rest. There's so much to do here at Clinton Gulch Dam Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Kite Lake Campground is a great place for that, and the nice folks of Silverthorne like to hang out close by. The snow is fine at Copper Mountain; if you come at the right time of year, Arkansas River offers some good whitewater. Clinton Gulch Dam Reservoir gets very little rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Clinton Gulch Dam Reservoir has it all. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Arkansas River, and Clinton Gulch Dam is a place that is next to Clinton Gulch Dam Reservoir. All through the warm months at Clinton Gulch Dam Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 70's with night lows in the 40's.
