Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Clear Creek Reservoir. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. Clear Creek Reservoir is right by the Pine Creek Trail; Columbia Gulch is a perfect site to spend some time. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Wapaca Trail.       Now, you may imagine that's heaps but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Clear Creek Reservoir. If you came to camp Arkansas River Rim Campground is a perfect site to do that; do take a hike on the Harvard Trail. All the outdoors cool things in the Sawatch Range will keep you coming back repeatedly. A quick spree to Clear Creek in close proximity to Clear Creek Reservoir is a glorious idea, and paddling on Clear Creek is so much fun. This                  lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Clear Creek Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Crazyhorse Camping Resort is a nice site for that; Ski Cooper is a good local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. A picturesque lake like Rainbow Lake in the vicinity of Clear Creek Reservoir is a glorious location to visit; whitewater paddling is good on Arkansas River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawatch Range. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Vista Inn; at Clear Creek Dam near Clear Creek Reservoir there are some out of the ordinary things to see. Around Clear Creek Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest.
