City Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. High temperatures at City Reservoir through the summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at City Reservoir dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Tamarron Resort is a splendid spot to get some rest, and don't leave City Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Pine-Piedra

| | Stock Driveway. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of City Reservoir, you could also explore nearby Durango Reservoir Number 1, and if you came for an overnight stay Vallecito Campground is a nice place to camp.
All year is a glorious time in the San Juan Mountains if you like the outdoors. Kendall Mountain is a great local ski area, and Lower Park is a gorgeous location any time of year. Camping at City Reservoir is nice fun, Blue Spruce Trailer | |

Park is a nice local campground; after a long day outdoors Cascade Village is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. Around City Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; all through the month of August you get the most rain
around here; June is the month with the least moisture.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. The skiing at Silverton is wonderful; you can go for a hike on the Deer Park Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing
stuff in the San Juan Mountains. You can run the rapids of Animas River near City Reservoir, and one of the main marks of the surroundings of City Reservoir is Endlich Mesa. Crystal Valley is a fine spot to go to close by, and get
your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Vallecito Creek.
The San Juan Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do in the neighborhood of City Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
The smiling folks of Durango like to hang out close by, and there are splendid locations to explore along the Whitehead Trail.
