A perfect location close to City Reservoir is Beaver Dam Gulch, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Tepee Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Colorado River; City Reservoir is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Gore Pass Campground is a fine local campground. If the weather is delightful here at City Reservoir, you can go for a hike along       the Sheep Drive Trail, and why not take a little visit to Sheep Creek if you're here. Man, is there a lot of fun things to do near City Reservoir. On a wonderful day at City Reservoir you can take a hike along the Midway Trail. There's so much to do here at City Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Red Mountain RV Park is a wonderful spot for that. City Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Park Range. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun                  stuff in the Park Range. A great site for whitewater paddling near City Reservoir is Blue River, and not far from City Reservoir you'll find Jones Reservoir Number 1 which is a lovely lake. Around City Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; July is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. So much entertaining stuff in the Park Range, just unbelievable. A good close by hotel is Breakaway West. For the period of the summer at City Reservoir highs are typically in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 40's.
