If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Citizens Reservoir. Citizens Reservoir gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls all through October, and the driest month is February. Be careful coming to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. | | lake is so wonderful. There's magnificent hiking along the Coal Bank Trail, and a good nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Montrose-Townsend, Co.
During the summer at Citizens Reservoir highs are usually in the 90's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. stuff already but it goes on, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains has it all. Whitewater paddling is fine on Uncompahgre River, and glorious hiking is available along the Paradox Road. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on San Miguel
River is so much fun; you can go for a hike on the Dry Creek Trail.
A pleasant trip to Uncompahgre Plateau is a tremendous way to spend an afternoon, and Citizens Reservoir is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Antone
Spring Campground is a delightful local campground. If you need a place to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a great choice, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not go to Olathe Reservoir Number 1.
Citizens Reservoir is a beautiful
lake in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Just can't get enough of Citizens Reservoir. A delightful lake like Silesca Pond near Citizens Reservoir is a great location to have a look at. There's so much to do here at Citizens Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Iron Spring Campground is a great site for that.
