Hiking along the Dry Creek Trail is brilliant fun; a pleasant journey to Uncompahgre Plateau is a glorious way to spend an afternoon. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Going for a hike along the Coal Bank Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and soar down the rapids of Uncompahgre River in a kayak. High temperatures at Citizens Reservoir during the summer       months are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Citizens Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Citizens Reservoir is pretty arid generally; most of the rain falls through October while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All year is a good time in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains if you love the outdoors. You could                  also stop by Olathe Reservoir Number 2 since you're here at Citizens Reservoir; it's nearby, and if you need a site to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a fine choice. This lake is located in the wonderful Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, San Miguel River offers some pleasant whitewater, and Iron Spring Campground is a splendid campground nearby. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Paradox Road, and the scenery at Citizens Dam is beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Montrose, and Citizens Reservoir is a great location to visit for more than one day, Antone Spring Campground is a great location to camp nearby. Nearby lakes?
