Get yourself into a kayak and hit Gunnison River, and great hiking is available along the Green Mountain Trail. Summertime highs at Chipmunk Reservoir frequently tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer       temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 30's while Chipmunk Reservoir night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Beaver Creek flows through this neighborhood, and Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a good spot to get some rest. Man, is there a lot of amusing things to do in close proximity to Chipmunk Reservoir. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Monument Trail, and Weir and Johnson Campground                  is a pleasant campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Powderhorn are so inviting noone can resist. At Chipmunk Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. A charming lake like Cole Reservoir Number 2 near Chipmunk Reservoir is a nice location to visit, and not far from Chipmunk Reservoir you get some brilliant water scenery at Chipmunk Dam. This lake is so wonderful.
