The beauty of Chipmunk Lake is reason enough to stop by. Paddling on Cache La Poudre River is so much fun; the Lawn Lake Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. A journey to Rocky Mountain National Park is recommended, and close by you find the Black Canyon Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Chipmunk Lake gets very little rain; most of the rain falls all through August while November is frequently the driest month.

| | a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Front Range. A short visit to Chasm Falls is always worthwhile. There's so much to do here at Chipmunk Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Aspenglen Campground is a great site for that. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day at Chipmunk Lake you can take a hike along the Ypsilon Lake Trail, and Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. is a fine spot to get some rest. Just can't get enough of Chipmunk Lake. through this neighborhood. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Chipmunk Lake has to offer, you can camp at Endovalley Campground.
High temperatures at Chipmunk Lake during the summer are in the 70's, and the night
is somewhat cooler of course, frequently in the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Chipmunk Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
After a long day outdoors Estes Park Condos is a nice spot to spend a night or two; glide down the rapids of Joe Wright Creek in a kayak. You might want to pay a visit to Hanging Valley while you're here at Chipmunk Lake.
That
right there is heaps of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Front Range has it all. Mount Chiquita is clearly visible from Chipmunk Lake; you'll find a beautiful lake called Chiquita Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range.
