For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Chickadee Pond get into the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Chickadee Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Aspen Lodge is a great spot to get some rest, and there are some great whitewater spots on Saint Vrain Creek - North. A wonderful place       to camp here at Chickadee Pond is Longs Peak Campground, and Berthoud Pass is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. This site is excellent, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in close proximity to Chickadee Pond. Visiting Rocky Mountain National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; Castle Lakes is a brilliant lake nearby. Near Chickadee Pond you discover the Saint Vrain Glacier Trail which is a good hiking trail, and there's                  some exciting stuff to make out at Pear Dam right next door to Chickadee Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent vista of pretty Copeland Mountain is available from Chickadee Pond, and the Lion Lake Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Not much precipitation falls here at Chickadee Pond; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. Yeah, come up here to the Front Range for a good time. Mertensia Falls is a splendid local attraction, and camping at Pawnee Lake Campground is always a glorious experience. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Chickadee Pond, so little time. A great location like Wild Basin here at Chickadee Pond is too great to miss, and there are other sites here than Chickadee Pond, for example Ouzel Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Marys Lake Lodge, and if you come at the right time of year, Boulder Creek offers some great whitewater. Be careful coming to the Front Range, you might not ever wanna return back home again. If the weather is pleasant here at Chickadee Pond, you can go for a hike along the Bluebird Lake Trail; don't forget to take a good little trip to Ouzel Creek. That right there is plenty of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Front Range has it all.
