That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Chicago Lakes has it all. Have a good hiking adventure along the Chicago Lakes Trail, and Idaho Springs Dam is wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Georgetown Mountain Inn; if you're here you can take a hike along the Rosalie Trail. Going for a hike along the Abyss Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty       of this region, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Winter Park is pretty near. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Front Range. Lakes are nice; Summit Lake is a lake that's next to Chicago Lakes, and a day on the slopes of Arapahoe Basin is just what you need. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Chicago Lakes; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is October. The Front Range scenery                  is always beautiful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Georgetown is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two; Chicago Lakes is a perfect site to camp, West Chicago Creek Campground is a perfect site. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Chicago Lakes it's a magnificent idea to stop at Summit Lake Flats; Beartrack Campground is a great campground here. Float down the rapids of Clear Creek in a kayak, and from Chicago Lakes you get a great vista of Mount Evans. Paddling on Clear Creek is so much fun. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Chicago Lakes, high temperatures commonly get into the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 30's.
