Chicago Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Front Range. Arapahoe Basin is a very popular ski area close at hand, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Winter Park. Whitewater paddling is great on Clear Creek, and hiking along the Abyss Trail is tremendous fun. A typical amount of rain falls here at Chicago Lakes; April is the wettest month with most snow,       and October is when it's the driest. So many fun things to do here in the Front Range, too brilliant to be true. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Georgetown is a delightful choice; do take a hike on the Chicago Lakes Trail. All year is a nice time in the Front Range if you love the outdoors. Summit Lake Flats is a beautiful site any time of year; why not stop by Idaho Springs Dam if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a                  lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Summit Lake, and you get a great view of Mount Evans from here. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Chicago Lakes. Georgetown Mountain Inn is a glorious place to get some rest, and West Chicago Creek Campground is a nice campground nearby. For the duration of the months of summer at Chicago Lakes temperatures are regularly in the 60's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 30's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and night lows at Chicago Lakes all through the wintertime generally dip into the 0's. Be careful coming to Chicago Lakes, you might not ever want to go home again. If you came for an overnight stay Beartrack Campground is a tremendous spot to camp, and going for a hike along the Rosalie Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek. Lakes?
