This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Have a great hiking adventure along the Crossover Trail, and AppleLodge Bed And Breakfast is a pleasant place to get some rest. Going for a hike along the Hermit Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and everyone loves Kolkman Basin. Summertime       highs at Cherry Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Cherry Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. At Cherry Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Lake Creek                  Campground if you're here at Cherry Lake, and Henderson Gulch is also a brilliant site to discover. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Cherry Lake. Lakes are such calm places, why not pop by Banjo Lake next to Cherry Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Arkansas River. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is abundant here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A quick spree to Middle Fork Cotton Creek right next door to Cherry Lake is a nice idea; Mount Owen is a peak you can see from Cherry Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
