Why not stop by Cherry Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Snowmass Lodging Company; why not head up to Aspen Highlands and strap some skis to your feet. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more amusing stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. If you need a site to stay The Crestwood Condominiums is a nice choice; Aspen- Basalt Campground is a great campground here. Cherry Lake is pretty dried up regularly;

Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Cherry Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's while Cherry Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Blue Creek Trail, and hey, Swamp Creek is a pleasant local stream. | |
