Trout Lake Dam is a beautiful location right next door to Cherokee Lake, and there's perfect hiking along the Long Ridge Stock Driveway. It is very dried out here at Cherokee Lake mostly; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest month is June. This lake is so wonderful. The Middle Creek Stock Driveway offers hiking at its best; if you've had enough       of Cherokee Lake, Williams Lakes is close by. Cherokee Lake really is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. Take a little trip to Middle Trout Creek since you're here at Cherokee Lake, and camping is available at Cimarrona Campground. Summertime highs at Cherokee Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 30's.
