Trout Lake Dam is a beautiful location right next door to Cherokee Lake, and there's perfect hiking along the Long Ridge Stock Driveway. It is very dried out here at Cherokee Lake mostly; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest month is June. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little trip to Middle Trout Creek since you're here at Cherokee Lake, and camping is available at Cimarrona Campground. Summertime highs at Cherokee Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. spot to camp here at Cherokee Lake is Middle Fork Hunter Campground; you're in all probability keen on lakes, Trout Lake is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Fern Creek Stock Driveway,
and if you need a place to stay Whispering Pines Condominums is a pleasant choice. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
