Cheney Dam has brilliant water scenery and it's near Cheney Reservoir, and there are good places to look at along the Gunnison Trail. Rocky Wash Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Wine Country Inn, and what would winter be without some skiing at Powderhorn. What a site this is for outdoors folks.
