If you are in this part of Colorado make sure to pay a visit to Cheesman Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Cheesman Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Spruce Grove Campground is a great local campground; great hiking is available along the Rolling Creek Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Front Range. After a long day outdoors Country Lodge is a great site to spend a night or two, and some close by water includes Goose Creek.

| | All the outdoors exciting things in close proximity to Cheesman Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. Going for a hike on the Longwater Trail is always a good adventure, and at Cheesman Dam in close proximity to Cheesman Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Cheesman Lake get into the 70's with night lows in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures | |

at Cheesman Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Go for a hike on the Phantom Creek Trail. There's so much to do here at Cheesman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wigwam Campground is a splendid spot
for that. Flickenstein Gulch is near Cheesman Lake and is a great place, and if you have time to spare, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth going to. Not much precipitation falls here at Cheesman
Lake; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Towneplace Suites By Marriott Denver Southwest is a splendid choice, and whitewater paddling is
tremendous on South Platte River. The Front Range scenery is always beautiful. All year is a great time in the Front Range if you love the outdoors. You get a great panorama of Cheesman Mountain from Cheesman Lake; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on South Platte River.
