Throughout the months of summer at Cheap Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Cheap Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Ormiston Point Stock Driveway. Hovenweep National Monument is one of the destinations near Cheap Reservoir that are brilliant       to go to, and wonderful hiking is available along the McPhee Stock Trail. That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Cheap Reservoir has it all. If you're here, you might as well go to Alkali Canyon; a good nearby hotel is Historic Rio Grande Southern. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Dolores River, and if you came to camp Mc Phee Mobile Home and RV Park is a delightful place to do that. Paddling on Dolores River is so much                  fun, and Canyon Spring is always fun to check out. Cheap Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lazy G Campground is a great local campground, and if you need a place to stay Lost Canyon Ranch is a perfect choice. At Cheap Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; October is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is June.
