High temperatures at Chatfield Lake all through the summer are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Chatfield Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. Man, is there plenty of amusing things to do near Chatfield Lake. Near Chatfield       Lake you hit upon Marcy Gulch which is a good place to visit; paddling on South Platte River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Columbine Country Club is a glorious golf course nearby, and do explore Spring Gulch Reservoir, it's a striking lake. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Chatfield Lake to spot the water at Chatfield Dam. Camping at Chatfield Lake is wonderful fun, South Park Mobile Home Park is a wonderful local campground,                  and close by you discover the Long Hollow Trail which is a great hiking trail. If you need a spot to stay Towneplace Suites By Marriott Denver Southwest is a brilliant choice, and you'll most likely meet some people from Denver-Aurora here. There is a good hiking trail near Chatfield Lake called the Beaver Brook Trail, and a pleasant close by hotel is Residence Inn By Marriott Denver Highlands Ranch. Chatfield Lake is pretty dried up typically; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is January.
