Many people like to go to Chasm Lake. For the duration of the summertime at Chasm Lake highs are typically in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at Chasm Lake throughout the winter mostly dip into the 0's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. Stay the night at Longs Peak Campground, and lakes are such serene locations, why not stop at Mills Lake.

All the outdoors fun things in the Front Range will keep you coming back over and over. Going for a hike on the Boulder Brook Trail is always
a good adventure; whitewater paddling is wonderful on Saint Vrain Creek - North. This lake is so wonderful. Chasm Lake is close to Granite Pass which is beyond doubt worth a visit. You'll need more than a day to discover everything
Chasm Lake has to offer, you can camp at Glacier Basin Campground. On a pretty day you obtain a panorama of Battle Mountain from Chasm Lake; get soaked paddling on Saint Vrain Creek - South.
A visit to Boulder Field revives the
spirit, and after a long day outdoors Alpine Trail Ridge Inn is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. It is very dried up here at Chasm Lake generally; most of the rain falls all through August, and November is when it's the
driest. This lake is so wonderful. A short journey to Columbine Falls is always worthwhile; close by you discover the Long Peak Trail which is a fine hiking trail.
