Why not stop by Lake Charles if you're passing through these parts. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll fancy Lake Charles. Lake Charles gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you came for an overnight stay Fulford Cave Campground is a perfect location to camp, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Edwards here.

| | Gold Dust Basin is a tremendous place to check out; since you're here you can take a hike along the Ironedge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Arrowhead Village is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and Eagle River is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Lakes? Sure, Mystic Island Lake is in the neighborhood, and Beaver Creek is a very popular ski area around here.

This lake is located in the wonderful Sawatch Range. Having a wonderful time in the Sawatch Range is trouble-free. You can run the rapids of Fryingpan River close to Lake Charles; Yeoman Park Campground is a magnificent campground
nearby. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Lake Charles, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is
down all through the winter temperatures at Lake Charles drop into the 0's.
But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Sawatch Range. You can see Eagle Peak from Lake Charles, and you can have a great hiking adventure
along the Lake Charles Trail. There are other places here than Lake Charles, for example Halfmoon Lake, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the New York Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hyatt Mountain
Lodge is a nice location to get some rest, and why not head up to Vail and strap some skis to your feet.
