If you want to visit some attention-grabbing stuff, visit Sand Point, and after a long day outdoors Black Dog Inn is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. Chapman Reservoir is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Bucks Campground is a pleasant local campground; there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Ute Trail. Summer brings highs       in the 80's to Chapman Reservoir, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Chapman Reservoir dip into the 0's. Why not visit Chapman Dam while you're here; going for a hike on the South Derby Trail is always a great adventure. There's so much to do here at Chapman Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Baughn Lake                  Campground is a great place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Oak Creek Motel. At Chapman Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is frequently March, that's the one that snows the most while June is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
