During the summer months here at Chapman Reservoir, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Chapman Reservoir temperatures dip       to the 0's. Around Chapman Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; most of the snow falls all through March; the driest of the months is June. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great planet it would be. What would a site like Chapman Reservoir be without interesting close by characteristics like Sand Point, and after a long day outdoors Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a fine place to spend a night or two. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the South Derby Trail, and if you need a spot to stay Nordic Lodge of Steamboat is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes?
