And if that's not enough there's heaps more amusing things to do in the Sawatch Range. A nice nearby hotel is VillaHotel La Niche, and going for a hike on the Chapman Trail is always a great adventure. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more fun things to do here in the Sawatch Range. There's some flowing water nearby, Ivanhoe Creek is a stream you can take a look at during your stay,       and don't leave Chapman Lake without first going for a hike along the Last Chance Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Dearhamer Campground is a wonderful place to camp, and why not check out Chapman Dam while you're here. Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. Aspen Mountain is a brilliant local ski area, and VillaHotel Bears Creek is a good spot to get some rest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. Don’t forget                  to explore Twin Meadows while you're here at Chapman Lake; there are magnificent places to discover along the Sawyer Lake Trail. High temperatures at Chapman Lake through the summer are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Chapman Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Roaring Fork; Chapman Gulch is a fine spot to go to. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do near Chapman Lake. Do explore Nast E Lake near Chapman Lake, it's a picturesque lake, and you'll possibly meet some folks from Edwards here. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be. Camping is available at Elk Wallow Campground; if you come at the right time of year, Fryingpan River offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Chapman Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Aspen Highlands is quite near.
