It's a delightful idea to go to Ivanhoe Creek, it's close to Chapman Lake, and if you've had enough of Chapman Lake, Chapman Reservoir is nearby. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Chapman Lake. Chapman Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Dearhamer Campground is a brilliant local campground; why not head up to Aspen Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. You'll truly wish for more hours       in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Sawatch Range. Roaring Fork is a magnificent whitewater spot near Chapman Lake, and an out of the ordinary thing to stop at close to Chapman Lake is Chapman Dam. A pleasant visit to Twin Meadows is a glorious way to spend an afternoon. There's so much to do here at Chapman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Elk Wallow Campground is a magnificent spot for that. Chapman Lake is regularly a pretty waterless                  place; the month with most of the rain is July, and February on the other hand is the driest. This site, the Sawatch Range, has so much outdoors exciting things. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Chapman Lake without first going for a hike along the Chapman Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Aspen Highlands. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Sawatch Range. A pleasant nearby hotel is VillaHotel Bears Creek, and good hiking is available along the Sawyer Lake Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Chapman Lake. A glorious spot for whitewater paddling near Chapman Lake is Fryingpan River, and there's brilliant hiking along the Last Chance Trail. High temperatures at Chapman Lake all through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Chapman Lake are in the 0's. This is a popular place for people from Edwards, needless to say you could also take a look at Nast E Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range.
