Everybody close by loves skiing at Aspen Mountain, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Chapman Lake; Last Chance Trail is a splendid local trail. If you get bored of Chapman Lake, you could also stop at nearby Warren Lake. There's so much to do here at Chapman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Elk Wallow Campground is a nice place for that. Mountain House Lodge is a tremendous site to get some rest; the fine folks     of Meredith like to hang out close by.
