The slopes of Howelsen Hill are so inviting nobody can resist, and don't leave Chambers Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Muddy Slide Trail. Not far from Chambers Reservoir, you'll come across Bear Lake which is a picturesque lake, and one of the major features of the surroundings of Chambers Reservoir is Thorpe Mountain. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Chambers Reservoir get into the       80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Chambers Reservoir dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Chambers Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Edwards, and Steamboat Springs Koa Steamboat Springs Koa is a brilliant campground here. Chambers Reservoir is mostly a reasonably dry place; March is the month that gets the most snow while June                  is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a good site to get some rest, and what would winter be without some skiing at Steamboat. This lake is so wonderful. There's brilliant hiking along the Service Creek Trail, and needless to say Jack Creek flows through this vicinity. Just can't get enough of Chambers Reservoir.
