This lake is so wonderful. Branding Iron Motel is a splendid place to get some rest; why not camp at Conejos Campground while you're here at Chama Lake. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Chama Lake rocks! Have a nice hiking adventure along the Elk Creek Trail; Trail Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. Chama Lake is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.       Just can't get enough of the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. High temperatures at Chama Lake throughout the summertime months are in the 60's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Chama Lake tend to be in the 0's. While you're here at Chama Lake you can take a hike along the South Fork Trail, and paddling on Conejos River is so much fun. Chama Lake frequently                  gets a great deal of precipitation; March is when you get the most snow here; the driest of the months is June. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co, and glide down the rapids of Rio Chama in a kayak. And that's not all there is to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
