If you need a place to stay Copper Junction Condominiums is a great choice, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Wheeler Trail. High temperatures at Chalk Lake during the summer months are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. The winter       comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Chalk Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Arkansas River offers some perfect whitewater, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Wheeler Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Copper Mountain is great, and Chalk Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Kite Lake Campground is a fine local campground. You could also visit Robinson Lake since you're here at                  Chalk Lake; it's close by, and getting to Chalk Creek from Chalk Lake is simple. Yeah, come here to Chalk Lake for a fine time. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Breckenridge. This lake is so wonderful. Timber Creek Condominums is a glorious location to get some rest, and a lake close by is Chalk Mountain Reservoir. Near Chalk Lake you hit upon Delmonica Gulch which is a splendid site to explore, and the scenery at Chalk Mountain Dam is beautiful. People from Silverthorne love to come to Chalk Lake, and from Chalk Lake you obtain a magnificent vista of Chalk Mountain.
