Chain Lakes is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Take a side visit to Berri Creek, and there are plenty of folks from Durango here. Get drenched paddling on Vallecito Creek; Chain Lakes is a splendid place to camp, Blue Spruce Trailer Park is a splendid place.
Chain Lakes gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is June. High temperatures

| | at Chain Lakes through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Chain Lakes tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Canyon Creek, and the Whitehead Trail offers hiking at its best.

Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Vallecito Campground, and a perfect close by hotel is Tamarron Resort. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area in the neighborhood of Chain Lakes has to offer. Chain Lakes
is not the only place close by, Lake Eileen is a close by lake, and if you're here at Chain Lakes it's a glorious idea to pop by Freeman Park. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan Mountains. You might want to pay a visit
to Dark Canyon since you're here at Chain Lakes, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Chain Lakes; Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway is a pleasant local trail.
The San Juan Mountains scenery is always beautiful. All the outdoors
amusing stuff in the San Juan Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. Chain Lakes is right by the Deer Park Trail, and Cascade Village is a good site to get some rest.
