    Why not stop by Cattail Reservoir if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid location for whitewater paddling near Cattail Reservoir is Colorado River, and if you came for an overnight stay Trail Creek Campground is a glorious place to camp. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Cattail Reservoir Number 1, and why not camp at Parkview Campground while you're here at Cattail Reservoir. You  
   clearly have to love Cattail Reservoir. Get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Willow Creek, and not far from Cattail Reservoir you'll hit upon South Side Reservoir which is a delightful lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Summit at SilverCreek is a great choice, and Cattail Reservoir is right by the Rock Creek Trail. Cattail Reservoir is located in the Park Range.
Summertime at Cattail Reservoir arrives with high temperatures
 
               in the 70's, and the overnight is rather cooler of course, ordinarily in the 30's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Cattail Reservoir. Cattail Reservoir is a location that is rather dried up usually; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is typically the driest month. That right there is plenty of exciting things already but it goes on, the Park Range has it all. There's pleasant hiking along the Willow Pass Trail, and the Haystack Trail offers hiking at its best.
Be careful coming to the Park Range, you might not ever want to return back home again. A splendid nearby hotel is Littletree Inn, and Cattail Pond Dam has great water scenery.
