For the period of the summertime highs here at Cat Reservoir get into the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Cat Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. It's a delightful idea to visit Rabbit Creek, it's in the vicinity of Cat Reservoir; on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the       Ormiston Point Stock Driveway. This lake is so wonderful. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Cat Reservoir called the McPhee Stock Trail; dry warm beds await you at Dunton Hot Springs. Cat Reservoir is pretty dried out regularly; the wettest month of the year is generally October, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is June.
