Many people like to go to Castle Rock Lake. Castle Rock Lake is a location that is quite dry ordinarily; during August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Through the days of summer at Castle Rock Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Castle Rock Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available

| | along the Fern Creek Stock Driveway, and a good location is Trouble Hill.
So many enjoyable things to do in the San Juan Mountains, not sufficient time. A delightful lake like Castle Number 4 Reservoir right next door to Castle Rock Lake is a brilliant spot to take a look at; Rio Grande is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby. a popular thing to do around Castle Rock Lake; Cebolla Trail is a wonderful local trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Henson Creek.
There's no way anybody
can get bored here in the San Juan Mountains. Don't forget to take a good little journey to Kitty Creek; if you came for an overnight stay Highlander RV Campground is a brilliant location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. If you
like skiing, you're in luck; Silverton is close to Castle Rock Lake, and there's great hiking along the Long Ridge Stock Driveway.
Camping is available at Castle Lakes Campground Resort, and the panorama of Hermit Peak is gorgeous.
